Conservation Volunteers are needed from October 2008
Overgrown shrubs, for example, gorse and bracken and small trees, for example, birch and dead debris
will be removed by clearing with bowsaws and shovels and spades and
seccateurs and loppers and will be raked and burnt.
Tools and equipment will be provided by the BBC Breathing Places grant
Full training in the use of tools will be given before each work party commences
Trained proessional and volunteer supervisors will be at hand and so will trained
St John's Ambulance First Aiders
HARTLEBURY COMMON Local Group Volunteers will make working parties
during the months of October, November, December, January and February
Work parties of around twelve to twenty people will generally meet the first Sunday and third Saturday
in the month.
We have been working in the bog area for the first three working parties
and plan to move on to the lower level of Hartelbury Common very soon.
Timing is from 9.30 am until dusk or any part thereof you as a volunteer can manage
